Star Wars Comics - Jedi Purge - The Last Stand of The Jedi

I have just finished reading the Star Wars comic book Purge - Last Stand of The Jedi from Dark Horse Comics telling the story of a handful Jedi facing the fist of Dark Lord Darth Vader.

Actually the Last Stand of The Jedi is a tale of a group of Jedi fighting for death against Lord Vader. Unfortunately Sith Lord Darth Vader somehow managed to survive on the other hand all of the Jedi in the meeting held on Kessel mines were dead.

The female Jedi Master Shadday gathered a group of Jedi's and Jedi Masters. And she had let the Vader's spies learn about the meeting. All other Jedis were beware of the fact that Lord Vader knows they will be on Kessel that day. Master Shadday said to the group "I'm expecting one more, but I think we can begin", all Jedi thought that an other Jedi will soon arrive for the meeting just as they did.

Master Shadday knows Sith Lord Darth Vader will come alone for his hatred against Master Kenobi and she was right.

Eight Jedi died during the fight in Kessel mines that day. Jedi Sia-Lan Wezz was the first to die with the lightsaber of Dark Lord.

Jedi Ma'Kis' Shaalas was the next to lose against Darth Vader.

I learnt about the Cortosis Blade which makes lightsaber useless for the following a few minutes. Jedi Master Shadday used the Cortosis Blade against Sith Lord Darth Vader. But Vader killed Master Shadday. During the struggle Vader said : "Since I require a weapon, I shall take yours."

Although Jedi Jastus Farr hurt Darth Vader, Master Tsui Choi was able to cut Lord Vader 's right arm and Bultar Swan wounded him at his leg Jedi was not eager to kill an unarmed enemy who has surrendered. Master Koffi Arana killed Bultar Swan during the discussion on the Lord Vader 's surrender trick. And this was his end since Vader was waiting for attack and killed Master Koffi Arana with the Cortosis Blade.

While the end of the fight was near, three Jedi Master Tsui Choi, Master Roblio Darte and Jastus Farr were very close to kill the Dark Lord. At that end, the clone troopers were able to rescue the Sith Lord and helped Darth Vader to kill the remaining three Jedi.

And the story spreaded along the galaxy, Darth Vader killed fifty of Jedi every last one by himself. That is the legend of Darth Vader growing and surrounding the galaxy.

What is one more thing interesting Bultar Swan is that, Anakin SkyWalker had prevent Master Mace Windu kill the Sith Master Darth Sidious during their duel at Coruscant.
This time Bultar Swan prevented her Jedi friend Master Koffi Arana to kill Dark Lord Darth Vader.
But Bultar Swan herself was the one who died during the discussion just like Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker who turned to Dark Side by turning into Dark Lord Darth Vader after the duel between Windu and Palpatine.
It is notable that Darth Vader did the same trick as his Sith Master did during that duel. Darth Sidious also said that he wants to surrender and said that he is at Jedi's mercy. Dark Lord also played the same scenario against the Jedi Masters after he has lost his right arm during the fight.

And one last lesson from Darth Sidious to his apprentice Darth Vader : "Hate is a great ally -- But you have allowed your own hate to be used against to you! This fixation on Kenobi -- that is a part of you that is still Skywalker. You must purge it from yourself. Anakin Skywalker is dead. Only Darth Vader lives."
It is very interesting that Anakin Skywalker is still alive beneath the dark face of the Lord Vader in his hate to Obi-Wan Kenobi.
